LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT TGK...
Established in 2017, TGK began with the founder, Jevaris Johnson, gathering fellow UGA alums together for tailgates and good times. The group, called the Foundation, became the inspiration for the events that fostered fellowship, great food, & good times. As the events continued, so did the following. From that beginning came the inspiration for what is now TailGate Kings. TGK is a premier event and experience company that aims to always deliver a great time and a great event.
Today, our talented staff continue to create event experiences that service everything from cul-de-sac parties to large corporate events that require eloquent touches of class. We stay committed to maintaining the same principle, ethics, and commitments to excellence that has from the beginning the foundation of our company. We look forward to the opportunity to create a memorable event for you as our client in the future.
Meet Our Team
JEVARIS JOHNSON
PRESIDENT
Affectionately known as JV, Jevaris is from Anniston, Alabama where he attended Anniston High School. While in High School, his 94 Bulldawgs football team won the 6A State Championship and in 96 he received a scholarship to play for the University of Georiga BullDawgs. While in Athens, he became a 4-year Football letterman and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. Needless to say, Jevaris is truly a Dawg for life.
He handles a multitude of functions within TGK but specializes in business development and partnership advancement. He currently resides in Atlanta Georgia.
Shelby McDonald
STRATEGY & EXECUTIONS MANAGER
Shelby is a 2000 graduate of UGA. She has 10 years experience in coordinating events such as golf tournaments, bass tournaments and parties. Shelby is an avid sports fan and has contributed to multiple online sports shows. She is a mom to a current freshman at Mercer University.
